VFI-Deck Coating System
Decks are unique applications in that they must be both functional as well as aesthetically pleasing. When a deck is over living space, it becomes a roof that we walk on. Because of this we must first apply VFI’s 600 Series Acrylic Restoration Coating System to the deck substrate. Once the roof has been built there are two options to make it aesthetically pleasing. One option is to coat the roof in one of five stock colors with VFI-3220. The other option is to install VFI-608 Below Grade Waterproofing System followed by the installation of tile or pavers.
In commercial applications concrete patio decks may need to be protected from the environment and daily abuse. In this case we would recommend VFI’s Urethane Deck System. Using a combination of primers, aromatic urethane aliphatic urethane, and anti-skid aggregates, The VFI Urethane Deck System creates an attractive, durable, and non-slip surface. As with all VFI Coating Systems, the Urethane Deck System is easily rejuvenated at the end of its useful life with the application of additional coating layers.
